Typesetting
I trained as a Typesetter with Century Litho back in February 1982, working as part of the Design Studio team. During this time I was involved in typesetting adverts for various accommodation guides including Bude Guide, Falmouth Guide and many Holiday Cottage Guides.
In October 1992 I moved to Cornwall Litho, where I was involved in the production of guides for several holiday parks in Cornwall including Cranstar Holidays, St Ives Bay Holiday Park and Hendra Holiday Park. Working to specific deadlines to correspond with advertising campaigns and specific events occurring in the parks. Other publications included the Post 16 booklet produced by Connexions, detailing all the courses offered in the Cornwall area; and the Year Book for St Mawes Sailing Club.
I also became involved in the production of all the printing for Mount Edgcumbe Hospice, Cornwall. They had specific design guidelines to be followed across items such as Newsletters, Stationery, Booklets, Price Tags, Posters and Flyers.
